Cipherium's channel distributor in Thailand, Infinity IT Corporation (www.infinityit.co.th) has won Burapha University (www.buu.ac.th/webeng/information.html) bid for establishing a campus-wide wireless broadband network with Cipherium's wireless network service solution.
Burapha University (BUU), a leading university for IT education (well-known for its self-developed widely-used Thai Linux) as well as the biggest public university in Eastern Thailand, has selected Cipherium's NCS (Network Control System) and NAM-A 2000 (Network Access Manager) system associated with 250 access points to set up a secure and hassle-free wireless networking with a single point of control, to create a simplified central management architecture. Cipherium's solution will help optimize the network resources utilization and maximize the bandwidth usage, and at the same time, protect communication privacy and security.
To expand the learning opportunities toward knowledge-based economy policy, the Thai Government encourages public universities to build e-Education environment on campuses. The wireless deployment at BUU will facilitate staff and students to access on-line teaching materials anywhere across the campus by providing better coverage and higher levels of performance.
