NAC M6000 Supports Wireless Access during 2006 Annual International Public Television Screening Conference (Jun 06, 2006)

The 29th Annual International Public Television (INPUT) Screening Conference hosted by Public Television Service (PTS), Taiwan was successfully held from May 7-12, 2006, Taipei. During this weeklong television showcase, the wireless access to Internet facilitated by Cipherium's M6000 Network Access Controller was satisfactorily provided to approximately 1,500 attendees and visitors worldwide.

INPUT 2006 took place on the 1st and 2nd floor of Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) which was fitted with paid wireless Internet services that were centrally managed by M6000.

M6000 is a Gigabit Network Access Controller with 5,000 built-in local accounts and capable of creating 2,000 instant accounts on-demand. With its comprehensive user and access point (AP) management capability, M6000 supports up to 1,500 concurrent users and 120 managed APs, while also giving the network administrator a trouble-free way to remotely control the entire network from one single point.

To start charging users for Internet access: M6000 supports commercial solutions for WISP business and Wi-Fi hotspots by providing built-in billing profiles for on-demand accounts by time (hour) and data volume (MB) as well as turnkey access control management. With a laptop, event-goers will be able to enjoy wire-free Internet connection anytime, anywhere in the conference hall!
